Engineering

Long gone are the days of the toolmaker receiving a final part print and having to design, manufacture and develop a tool completely on the shop floor. As part geometry, component replaceability, customer and design requirements have become more complex and demanding, Concept Tooling and Manufacturing has evolved to meet this ever changing challenge.

Our engineering department offers complete 2D and 3D design capabilities utilizing the latest CAD/CAM software, which enables us to work closely with our customers to develop quality tooling in the most cost efficient manner. In addition, our software gives us the ability to import and export a vast array of file formats.

With our in-house design capabilities we are able to remain flexible and respond quickly to our customers requests, as well as support our toolmakers during the build and development stages. This assures quality and machinability along with allowing us to maintain design integrity.

The arrival of off-shore tooling has increased the demand for reverse engineering. To address this need we have the capability to create CAD from an existing component, and if required improve upon it before reproducing replacement tool components.
